Misanja was founded in 2017, inspired by a beloved craft hobby. The name of the company contains the first syllables of my own (Sanna) and of my youngest children’s names, so it immediately felt “own”. I especially like working on new ideas and feel that through my company I can execute my creativity; appropriately challenging myself.
I got the idea for a Christmas yarn calendar already in 2017 and the first Misanja Christmas calendar appeared the following Christmas. Now, in 2020, I am delighted to have more than 10 other entrepreneurs involved, and I can’t help but admire their wealth of ideas and creativity! I have experienced a great privilege to be in this project both as the receiving and as the giving party; cooperation is power!
Yarn of the day
In box 10 you will find a glittering Starry Sky miniskeins. The color scheme of the yarn was inspired by the image shown on the skeins’s card. I often get my inspiration for yarn colors from nature-themed images.
Misanja has Season yarns, their color scheme is designed according to Finland’s four seasons, although in winter they often mean Christmas colors, which are “hidden” for the most part in the boxes of the Yarn Advent Calendar.
If you have purchased or received the physical Yarn advent calendar, you will find a CODE (password) at the bottom of the box number one. Use the code to log in and open the “secret” section of our Yarn advent calendar. So, after opening the first box do also look at the bottom of the first box of your calendar and log in to see so much more!
Password: In physical calendar’s box number 1
If the code is missing from the box, please contact the seller or send e-mail for us firstname.lastname@example.org
